K-Pop Star Lee Jihan, 24, Among the 154 Dead in the Seoul Crowd Crush Tragedy

Rest in peace. The celebrity deaths of 2022 include Sidney Poitier and more stars, actors and singers who have passed away this year.

The celebrity deaths of 2022 come after a year of loss in 2021, which saw the deaths of stars like Betty White, Joan Didion, Cicely Tyson, Prince Philip and Willie Garson. On the morning of December 31, 2021, Betty White—an actress and comedian best known for roles in TV shows like The Golden Girls and The Mary Tyler Moore Show—died at 99 years old. Her death came three weeks before her 100th birthday. “Even though Betty was about to be 100, I thought she would live forever,” White’s friend and agent Jeff Witjas said in a statement at the time. “I will miss her terribly and so will the animal world that she loved so much. I don’t think Betty ever feared passing because she always wanted to be with her most beloved husband Allen Ludden. She believed she would be with him again.”

Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, died in Windsor Castle on the morning of April 9, 2021. He was 99 years old. “I have, on the occasion of my 95th birthday today, received many messages of good wishes, which I very much appreciate. While as a family we are in a period of great sadness, it has been a comfort to us all to see and to hear the tributes paid to my husband, from those within the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and around the world,” Philip’s wife, Queen Elizabeth II, said in a statement at the time. “My family and I would like to thank you for all the support and kindness shown to us in recent days. We have been deeply touched, and continue to be reminded that Philip had such an extraordinary impact on countless people throughout his life.”

K-pop star and actor Lee Jihan was among the 154 (and climbing) death toll in the crowd crush tragedy in Seoul, South Korea on October 29. He was 24. The actor’s agency, 935 Entertainment released a statement confirming the news of his death: “We are sad to deliver such news today, but Lee Jihan has passed away in the crush in Itaewon last night,” the statement read. “We would like to express our deepest condolences to his family, who are saddened by the sudden tragic news, also to everyone who loved him.” Lee is most famous for his acting role in Today Was Another Namhyung Day and in the popular boy band competition Produce 101 in 2017.

Leslie Jordan

Age: 67

Will & Grace and American Horror Story actor Leslie Jordan died on October 24, 2022, in Los Angeles, California. TMZ reported that the actor was driving in Hollywood on Monday morning when he crashed his BMW into the side of a building. He reportedly was driving in a medical emergency. In 2006, Jordan won the Emmy Award for guest actor in a comedy series for his work on Will & Grace, where he played Beverly Leslie. He also was on three different seasons of Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story. 

Jordan’s credits also include Ally McBeal, Ugly Betty, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Hidden Palms, Star Trek: Voyager, Caroline in the City and The United States vs. Billie Holliday. He also starred  as Earl “Brother Boy” Ingram in the stage play Sordid Lives, and created his own stage autobiographical show Hysterical Blindness and Other Southern Tragedies That Have Plagued My Life Thus Far, which ran for seven months off-Broadway at the SoHo Playhouse. As a musician, He also released Company’s Comin’, a gospel album in 2021. He also appeared as a guest panelist on “The Masked Singer,” where he performed “This Little Light of Mine.”

Robbie Coltrane

Age: 72

Robbie Coltrane passed away on October 12, 2022 at the age of 72. In a statement per BBC, his agent Belinda Wright confirmed the actor died in hospital near Falkirk in Scotland. Wright wrote that Coltrane had “unique talent”, adding his role as Hagrid in Harry Potter “brought joy to children and adults alike all over the world”. “For me personally I shall remember him as an abidingly loyal client. As well as being a wonderful actor, he was forensically intelligent, brilliantly witty and after 40 years of being proud to be called his agent, I shall miss him. He is survived by his sister Annie Rae, his children Spencer and Alice and their mother Rhona Gemmell. They would like to thank the medical staff at Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert for their care and diplomacy. Please respect Robbie’s family’s privacy at this distressing time.”

Coltrane, who was born Anthony Robert McMillan, was an iconic Scottish comic whose repertoire ranged from Flash Gordon, Blackadder and Keep It in the Family. Other comedy credits included series like A Kick Up the Eighties, The Comic Strip and Alfresco. His best-known role was in the Harry Potter series as Rubeus Hagrid. Coltrane also was in two James Bond films as he played Valentin Zukovsky in GoldenEye and The World Is Not Enough. His breakout role as Dr. Edward “Fitz” Fitzgerald, an anti-social criminal psychologist with a gift for solving crimes, in Jimmy McGovern’s Cracker series ran over 25 episodes between 1993 and 2006 and won him a BAFTA.

American Idol‘s Willie Spence died on October 11, 2022, from injuries in a car crash. He was 23. A family source told TMZ that the singer was driving from Tenessee to Atlanta when he hit a parked semi-truck. Hours earlier, he posted a video of him singing in his car on his Instagram. Spence was a contestant on season 19 of the iconic singing contest and placed second behind Chayce Beckham and sang hits such as “Georgia on My Mind” and “A Change Is Gonna Come.” American Idol alum Katharine McPhee posted on her Instagram story remembering Spence. She “received very tragic news” that Spence died, and wrote, “Life is so unfair and nothing is ever promised. God rest your soul Willie. It was a pleasure to sing with you and to know you.”

Age: 96

Dame Angela Lansbury died on October 11, 2022. She was 96. Her family released a statement to People, “The children of Dame Angela Lansbury are sad to announce that their mother died peacefully in her sleep at home in Los Angeles at 1:30 a.m. today, Tuesday, October 11, 2022, just five days shy of her 97th birthday.” The statement continued, “In addition to her three children, Anthony, Deirdre and David, she is survived by three grandchildren, Peter, Katherine and Ian, plus five great-grandchildren and her brother, producer Edgar Lansbury. She was proceeded in death by her husband of 53 years, Peter Shaw. A private family ceremony will be held at a date to be determined.”

Lansbury won five Tony Awards for her starring performances in Mame in 1966, Gypsy in 1974, Sweeney Todd in 1979 and Blithe Spirit in 2009. She would star in her most notable role as Jessica Fletcher when she was cast in the CBS series Murder, She Wrote in 1984. She voiced Mrs. Potts in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast in 1991. Lansbury was awarded an Academy Honorary Award in 2013 and was dubbed Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II. When she received her SAG Lifetime Achievement Award in 1997 she told her peers, “It has been an outstanding life, especially for me. And the great news is, girls, the opportunities are out there for us at all ages. I mean, look at some of the exquisite work of the women in film today. I feel absolutely galvanized to keep going and strike out for new career goals … After all, a career, as far as I’m concerned, is still a work in progress.”

Loretta Lynn died on October 4, 2022, at age 90. The iconic country singer died peacefully in her home in Hurricane Hills, Tennessee. Her family released a statement, “Our precious mom, Loretta Lynn, passed away peacefully this morning, October 4th, in her sleep at home at her beloved ranch in Hurricane Mills.” Lynn was a trailblazer in country music with the songs “Coal Miner’s Daughter,” “Don’t Come Home A’ Drinkin’ (With Lovin’ On Your Mind)” and “You Ain’t Woman Enough (To Take My Man). The topics of her songs included women’s experiences with unfaithful husbands, heartaches, and family. She became the first woman to be named entertainer of the year by the Country Music Association, and she was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1983 and the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1988. She also won the Billboard Legacy Award for Women in Music in 2015. In an Esquire interview, she said,  “I wasn’t the first woman in country music. I was just the first one to stand up there and say what I thought, what life was about.”

Sacheen Littlefeather died on October 2, 2022, at age 75. Littlefeather was known for going in Marlon Brando’s place to reject his Oscar for Best Actor at the Academy Awards citing Hollywood treatment of and disregard for Native Americans and the events at Wounded Knee in South Dakota as his reason for boycotting the event. According to Littlefeather’s family, per the New York Times, she died at her home on Sunday in Marin County, California. Her death comes just weeks after the Academy apologized for Hollywood’s reaction to Marlon Brando’s Oscars refusal speech, where the Godfather star boycotted the awards night and sent her on his behalf to protest the treatment of Native Americans.

In what would be her final interview, Littlefeather told The Guardian of her health: “I’m very, very ill. I have metastasized breast cancer – terminal – to my right lung. And I’ve been on chemotherapy for quite some time and daily antibiotics. As a result, my memory is not as good as it used to be … I’m very tired all the time because cancer is a full-time job: the CT scans, MRIs, laboratory blood work, medical visits, chemotherapy, infectious disease control doctors, etc, etc. If you’re lazy, you need not apply for cancer.”

Age: 59.

Coolio died at age 59 on September 28, 2022. The rapper (real name: Artis Leon Ivey Jr.), most famous for “Gangsta’s Paradise”, released in 1995, passed away suddenly at the Los Angeles home of his friend and longtime manager Jarez Posey. Though his cause of death has not officially been released, it’s believed he died of a heart attack. Coolio’s talent manager Sheila Finegan confirmed the rapper’s death to CNN in a statement expressing their sadness and acknowledging his legacy. “We are saddened by the loss of our dear friend and client, Coolio, who passed away this afternoon,” Coolio’s talent manager Sheila Finegan told the news outlet. “He touched the world with the gift of his talent and will be missed profoundly. Thank you to everyone worldwide who has listened to his music and to everyone who has been reaching out regarding his passing. Please have Coolio’s loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.”

According to CNN, emergency responders answered a call at 4 p.m. local time for a medical emergency, they found Coolio unresponsive and performed “resuscitation efforts for approximately 45 minutes,” Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed. The patient “was determined dead just before 5:00 p.m.”

Queen Elizabeth II

Queen Elizabeth II died on September 8, 2022, at the age of 96. Buckingham Palace made the sad announcement via their Twitter page, confirming: “The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.” It comes after news members of the royal family, including Prince Harry, journeyed to Balmoral Castle in Scotland to by the reigning monarch’s side in her final moments. Her heir, Prince Charles, will take the throne as the head of the British royal family. His Majesty The King made a statement regarding his mother’s death shortly after news broke: “The death of my beloved Mother, Her Majesty The Queen, is a moment of the greatest sadness for me and all members of my family. We mourn profoundly the passing of a cherished sovereign, and much-loved mother. I know her loss will be deeply felt throughout the country, the Realms and the Commonwealth, and by countless people around the world. During this period of mourning and change, my family and I will be comforted and sustained by our knowledge of the respect and deep affection on which The Queen was so widely held.”

Anne Heche died on August 12, 2022, after succumbing to injuries due to a car crash. She was 53 years old. A representative for her loved ones released a statement on August 11, 2022, confirming that she was brain dead after the crash on Friday August 5, 2022. “We want to thank everyone for their kind wishes and prayers for Anne’s recovery and thank the dedicated staff and wonderful nurses that cared for Anne at the Grossman Burn Center at West Hills hospital,” the statement read. “Unfortunately, due to her accident, Anne Heche suffered a severe anoxic brain injury and remains in a coma, in critical condition. She is not expected to survive.”

Heche was severely burned when she crashed into a Los Angeles home in the Mar Vista neighborhood on August 5, 2022. According to TMZ, Heche was under the influence of cocaine and possibly fentanyl when she crashed into an apartment complex and a home which caused a massive fire.

Heche’s acting career began in 1987 when she starred in the long-running soap opera Another World. In 1991, she won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series for the show. She also appeared in Donnie Brasco, Volcano, I Know What You Did Last Summer, and Six Days Seven Nights. She starred in the 29th season of Dancing with the Stars and has a recurring role in the upcoming HBO series The Idol. She dated Ellen DeGeneres from 1997 to 2000. When learning about the crash, DeGeneres said, ‘This is a sad day. I’m sending Anne’s children, family and friends all of my love.’ She is survived by two children.

Olivia Newton-John

Olivia Newton-John died on August 8, 2022. She was 73 years old. “Dame Olivia Newton-John passed away peacefully at her Ranch in Southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends. We ask that everyone please respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time,” Newton-John’s husband, John Easterling, announced on his late wife’s Instagram on August 8, 2022.

He continued, “Olivia has been a symbol of triumphs and hope for over 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer. Her healing inspiration and pioneering experience with plant medicine continues with the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, dedicated to researching plant medicine and cancer. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made in her memory to the @onjfoundation.”

Along with her husband, Newton John is survived by her daughter, Chloe Rose Lattanzi, whom she shares with ex-husband, Matt Lattanzi. Newton-John—who is best known for her role as Sandy Olsson in Grease, as well as her Grammy-winning music career—announced in May 2017 that her longtime breast cancer had metastasized to the sacrum. Her team said at the time that she would be completing a photo radiation therapy, as well as natural wellness therapies after consulting with doctors at the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre in Melbourne, Australia. “We both have the same unshakable belief that she’s going to have a wonderful success story,” her husband told People at the time. “We’re not trying to be positive. We have an absolute knowingness that we can turn this around.”

Newton-John was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992, 30 years before her death. “I draw strength from the millions of women who have faced this challenge successfully,” she said in a statement at the time. “This has been detected early because I’ve had regular examinations, so I encourage other women to do the same.”

Paul Sorvino

GoodFellas and Law & Order star Paul Sorvino passed on July 25, 2022, according to his publicist. The iconic actor’s wife Deedee Sorvino said in a statement to The Associated Press, “Our hearts are broken, there will never be another Paul Sorvino, he was the love of my life, and one of the greatest performers to ever grace the screen and stage.” “I am completely devastated,” she also posted on Twitter. “The love of my life & the most wonderful man who has ever lived is gone . I am heartbroken ❤️❤️❤️.”

Sorvino was born in Brooklyn, New York, and was in a variety of roles. Sorvino earned a Tony nomination for his role in “That Championship Season” and appeared in a long list of movies that included Nixon, Dick Tracy, Reds, and The Rocketeer. His best-known role is portraying mobster Paulie Cicero in Martin Scorcese’s GoodFellas. Sorvino is also the father to Academy Award-winning actress Mira Sorvino. She tweeted, “My father the great Paul Sorvino has passed,” tweeted Mira, 54. “My heart is rent asunder- a life of love and joy and wisdom with him is over. He was the most wonderful father. I love him so much. I’m sending you love in the stars Dad as you ascend.”

Ivana Trump, the ex-wife of President Donald Trump, died on July 14, 2022. “I am very saddened to inform all of those that loved her, of which there are many, that Ivana Trump has passed away at her home in New York City. She was a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life. Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric. She was so proud of them, as we were all so proud of her. Rest In Peace, Ivana!” President Trump posted on his social media site, Truth Social.

According to People, Ivana died at her home in New York City. Donald and Ivana were married from 1977 to 1992 and share three children: Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric.

Ray Liotta

Ray Liotta, an Emmy-winning actor best known for his role in Good Fellas, died in his sleep in the Dominican Republic on May 26, 2022. No foul play is suspected, People confirmed. Liotta is survived by his fiancée, Jacy Nittolo, and his daughter, Karsen, 23, whom he shared with ex-wife Michelle Grace. Liotta was known for roles like Shoeless Joe Jackson in 1989’s Field of Dreams and  Henry Hill in 1990’s Goodfellas. After his death, Liotta Shades of Blue co-star, Jennifer Lopez, paid tribute to her former cast mate on her Instagram.

“Ray was my partner in crime on Shades of Blue … the first thing that comes to mind is he so was kind to my children,” she captioned a series of photos of her and Liotta. “Ray was the epitome of a tough guy who was all mushy on the inside … I guess that’s what made him such a compelling actor to watch. The original Goodfella.” She continued, “We shared some intense moments on set those three years! When I first heard he took the job on Shades of Blue I was thrilled, and the first time we walked on set to do our first scene together there was an electric spark and a mutual respect and we both knew this was going to be good. We enjoyed doing our scenes together and I felt lucky to have him there to work with and learn from,” she recalled. “Like all artists he was complicated, sincere, honest and so very emotional. Like a raw nerve, he was so accessible and so in touch in his acting and I will always remember our time together fondly.” She ended her post, “We lost a great today … RIP RAY … it’s so sad to lose you what seems way to soon … I will remember you always. Sending so much love and strength to your daughter Karsen, your family and all your loved ones.”

Tom Parker, a member of the band The Wanted, died in March 2022 from brain cancer. He was 33 years old. Parker’s wife, Kelsey, announced his death in an Instagram post on March 30, 2022.” It is with the heaviest of hearts that we confirm Tom passed away peacefully earlier today with all of his family by his side,” she wrote. “Our hearts are broken, Tom was the centre of our world and we can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence. We are truly thankful for the outpouring of love and support and ask that we all unite to ensure Tom’s light continues to shine for his beautiful children. Thank you to everyone who has supported in his care throughout, he fought until the very end. I’m forever proud of you.”

Parker was first diagnosed with stage four glioblastoma, a form of brain cancer, in 2020. “What do I want from the future? More time with my kids. More time with my wife. More time with life,” he said in his 2021 documentary, Tom Parker: Inside My Head. “And I feel like that’s going to happen. I’ve got that positive outlook on life. And I think when you take strength and courage from other people around you, that really helps.” Along with Kelsey, Parker is survived by his daughter, Aurelia Rose, and son, Bodhi Thomas Paris, who was born one month before he went public with his cancer diagnosis.

Manfred Thierry Mugler, a French fashion designer and founder of the fashion house Mugler, died on January 23, 2022. “#RIP We are devastated to announce the passing of Mr Manfred Thierry Mugler on Sunday January 23rd 2022. May his soul Rest In Peace. Nous avons l’immense tristesse de vous faire part du décès de Monsieur Manfred Thierry Mugler survenu dimanche 23 janvier 2022. Que son âme repose en paix,” Mugler’s team wrote in a post on his Instagram on January 23, 2022.

Mugler, who is from Strasbourg, France, started designing in the 1970s and was known for his dramatic, avant-garde designs. He retired from fashion in 2002, but has come out of retirement for a few occasions. Once was in 2009 when he designed Beyoncé’s “I Am… World Tour” costumes, and another time was in 2019 when he designed Kim Kardashian’s Met Gala look. Mugler was relaunched in 201 under the creative direction of designer Casey Cadwallader.

Louie Anderson

Age: 68

Louie Anderson, a comedian best known for the FOX series Life With Louie, died on January 21, 2022 from blood cancer. He was 68 years old. According to Anderson’s publicist, Glenn Schwartz, who confirmed his death, the comedian died in a Las Vegas hospital, where he was undergoing treatments after he was diagnosed with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, the most common type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. “He is survived by his two sisters, Lisa and Shanna Anderson. Cause of death was complications from cancer,” Schwartz said in a statement to People.

A week prior to his death, Schwartz told Rolling Stone that Anderson was “resting comfortable” after he underwent his treatments. “Iconic comedian Louie Anderson is currently in a Las Vegas hospital being treated for diffuse large B cell lymphoma, a form of cancer,” Schwartz told Rolling Stone in an article published on January 18, 2022.

Anderson won two Daytime Emmy awards for Life With Louie, his animated series which ran on FOX from 1997 to 1998. He also won the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series Emmy for his role in Baskets in 2016. From 2003 to 2012, Anderson also performed a stand-up show titled “Louie: Larger Than Life” in Las Vegas.

Meat Loaf, a rock singer known for songs like “I’d Do Anything For Love,” died on January 20, 2022. He was 74 years old. “Our hearts are broken to announce that the incomparable Meat Loaf passed away tonight surrounded by his wife Deborah, daughters Pearl and Amanda and close friends,” Meat Loaf’s agent Michael Green confirmed in a statement to People. “His amazing career spanned 6 decades that saw him sell over 100 million albums worldwide and star in over 65 movies, including Fight club, Focus, Rocky Horror Picture Show and Wayne’s World. ‘Bat Out of Hell’ remains one of the top 10 selling albums of all time. We know how much he meant to so many of you and we truly appreciate all of the love and support as we move through this time of grief in losing such an inspiring artist and beautiful man.” The statement continued, We thank you for understanding of our need for privacy at this time. From his heart to your souls… don’t ever stop rocking!”

According to TMZ, Meat Loaf died from complications related to COVID-19 and was scheduled to attend a business dinner earlier this week for a show he’s working on, “I’d Do Anything For Love,” but the dinner was cancelled after he became ill with COVID-19 and his condition became critical. Meat Loaf, whose real name was Michael Lee Aday, was best known as a musician for his Bat Out of Hell trilogy albums——Bat Out of Hell, Bat Out of Hell II: Back into Hell, and Bat Out of Hell III: The Monster Is Loose—which have sold more than 65 million copies worldwide. Along with his music career, Meat Loaf was also an actor and had starred in movies like The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Fight Club. He was also a part of the original Broadway cast of The Rocky Horror Picture Show and appeared in the musical Hair both on and off-Broadway.

André Leon Talley

André Leon Talley, a fashion writer and the former creative director of Vogue, died on January 18, 2022. He was 73. according to TMZ, Talley passed away at a hospital in White Plains, New York, after battling an illness. “Good bye darling André ❤️🙏… No one saw the world in a more glamorous way than you did ❤️🙏… no one was grander and more soulful than you were ❤️🙏…the world will be less joyfulI ❤️🙏 I have loved you and laughed with you for 45 years…. I miss your loud screams …I love you soooo much ❤️🙏,” designer Diane von Fürstenberg wrote in an Instagram post at the time. Talley joined Vogue in 1983 as the magazine’s fashion news irector before he was promoted to creative director to editor-in-chief Anna Wintour in 1986. He held the role until 1995. He was also a judge on America’s Next Top Model for seasons 14 to 17. Talley is also the author of the 2020 memoir, The Chiffon Trenches, which takes readers through his 50-year-long career in the fashion industry.

Bob Saget, a stand-up comedian and actor best known for his role as Danny Tanner in Full House, died on January 9, 2022, at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida. He was 65 years old. Saget’s death was confirmed by Orange County Sheriff’s Office, which didn’t find any signs of foul play or drug use. “Earlier today, deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes for a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room. The man was identified as Robert Saget & pronounced deceased on scene. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case,” the sheriff’s office tweeted with the hashtag #BobSaget.

In September 2021, Saget started a nationwide stand-up comedy tour that was set to run through June 2022. His most recent performance was on the evening of January 8, 2022 (one day before his death), at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall in Jacksonville, Florida. Along with Full House (which he starred on from 1987 to 1995), Saget was also known  as the host of America’s Funniest Home Videos from 1989 to 1997. He also was the voice of future Ted Mosby on CBS’ How I Met Your Mother from 2005 to 2014. From 2016 to 2020, Saget reprised his role as Danny Tanner in Netflix’s Full House reboot, Fuller House.

Sidney Poitier, the first Black man to win the Best Actor Oscar, died on the evening of January 6, 2022. He was 94 years old. Clint Watson, the press secretary for the Prime Minister of the Bahamas, confirmed his death. Poitier, who was born in Miami, Florida, but raised in the Bahamas, is an actor, director and activist who became the first Black man to win the Academy Award for Best Actor in 1964 for his role in the movie Lilies of the Field. Throughout his career, Poitier received two more Oscar nominations, 10 Golden Globe nominations, two Emmy nominations, six BAFTA nominations and one Screen Actors Guild nomination. He was the oldest surviving male Academy Award winner until his death in 2022. From 1997 to 2007, Poitier served as the Bahamian Ambassador to Japan. Along with Lilies of the Field, Poitier was best known for movies like Porgy and Bess, A Raisin in the Sun, To Sir, with Love, Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner and In the Heat of the Night. 

Kim Mi-soo

South Korean actress and model Kim Mi-soo died on January 5, 2022. She was 29 years old. Her agency Landscape confirmed her death in a statement. “Kim suddenly left us on Jan. 5,” the statement read. “The bereaved are deep in their sorrow at the sudden sadness. Please refrain from reporting false rumors or speculation so that the family can mourn in peace.” Kim’s most recent role was in Disney Plus’ South Korean drama Snowdrop, in which she played a student activist who shared a women’s dorm with Young-ro, played by BLACKPINK member Jisoo. Kim’s other credits include 2019’s Memories andKyungmi’s World, as well as TV series like Human Luwak, Hi Bye, Mama! and Into the Ring. She on March 16, 1992. Some media outlets report her age as 30 and 31 due to different methods of calculation.
