These Were Our Favorite Closet Tours of 2023

Coveteur has a penchant for closets. Each year we add to what we believe to be a very exciting roster of industry insiders, celebrities, and creatives. Regardless of title, every one of them has a kink for clothing, an affinity for accessories, a fetish for footwear. In the past, that list has expanded to include talents like Leon Bridges, model Taylor Hill, Oscar de la Renta designer Laura Kim, and stylist Ian Bradley. In 2023, we dove into the personal collections of skateboarder Leo Baker and stylist Marcus Allen among other prodigiously stylish people. Ahead, we’ve selected our favorite closet tours of the year to revisit prior to 2024—when many more are slated to come.

Gigi Goode

Drag star Gigi Goode has developed an identity in which fashion plays a central role. In her drag studio, we uncovered looks from the early days of Drag Race (made by her mother, of course), a number of Christian Louboutins (the higher, the better), and a fabulous collection of wigs.

Hayley Williams

Recognizable by her eccentrically-hued head of hair, Paramore’s Hayley Williams’ has been through a number of style personas. After maturing into her career, she’s figured out what she feels best in, and what looks best on her. She finds inspiration in ‘60s mod imagery and David Byrne’s exaggerated tailoring.

Tina Leung

Before Netflix’s Bling Empire launched Leung onto a global scale, she had already cultivated a solid presence in the fashion world. A blogger before we coined the term, Leung essentially based her career on attending international fashion weeks—this means her New York apartment functioned more as a closet itself than anything else.

Briana Andalore

If you’ve ever wanted to peek behind the curtain of Julia Fox’s wardrobe, look no further than the stylist that helped catapult her into the public eye: Briana Andalore. Here, you’ll find a John Galliono newspaper-print robe, a larger-than-life cat-emblazoned dress, and many many pairs of her signature eyewear.

Marcus Allen

For those with nostalgia driven fantasies of Ralph Lauren Americana, delight in the closet tour of stylist Marcus Allen. The creative’s space hosts an impressive collection of old Abercrombie & Fitch, plus a solid display of Maharishi cargo pants and Double RL shirts.
